Travel Assistance

There are several groups in southeast Alaska that give limited financial grants to help cover travel related expenses for treatment of cancer.  Petersburg residents can apply to all three programs, which are supported in part by Petersburg Beat the Odds.

American Cancer Society, Inc., Great West Division

ACS has patient support programs to help with lodging and transporation needs for individuals needing to travel and receive treatment among other services.  Volunteer drivers are available in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Kenai and Wasilla/Palmer areas.  ACS also has flight partnerships with Ravn Alaska (previously known as Era Air) and PenAir Services.
